Sekilas Enterobacter sakazakii

They highlighted 20% of the infant milk formulae were infected with Enterobacter sakazakii . The infant foods were also reported to be infected, giving 40% of the sample populations. The publication was severly hit infant milk industries in Indonesia. However the milk industries are still questioning about the research reliability and state that the current productions are not susceptible to the infection of E. sakazakii . E. sakazakii adalah satu jenis bakteria yang pada tahun 1980 dipisahkan dari spesies Enterobacter cloacae , berdasarkan unsur genetik penyusunnya (Nazarowec-White dan Farber, 1997). E. sakazakii menjadi perhatian karena tingkat mortalitas yang tinggi (40-80%) pada bayi yang baru lahir (0-6 bulan), terutama sekali bayi prematur atau yang memiliki imunitas lebih rendah dari rata-rata
